- Location: Signal Mountain, Tennessee
- Grades: Middle and high school; mature upper elementary may participate if older siblings or parents attend
- Description: Take command on the map and in the field as we study and re-enact history’s greatest battles – some are famous, some ought to be better-known. Carry the banners, taste the food, test the armor, touch the artifacts! Follow in the footsteps of real heroes! The only significant project for students to complete is a veteran’s interview.
- Supplies needed:
- Large sketchbook and drawing supplies (colored pens/pencils/markers will be very helpful)
- Sturdy shoes for walking (and running) outdoors
- Strongly recommended: Bug spray/sunscreen, waterbottle, and clothes that can get dirty
- Optional: Costumes and props – if students have interest in making or finding them
